Marooned is a not to be missed sci-fi action adventure. Red and Meg are believable characters and while their relationship develops into a romantic one, it was secondary to the main plot and was therefore more believable. This was a fast read for me, not because of its length, but because of its timing. The action flowed without feeling contrived, both of the main characters were strong, capable, and engaging. Scott's descriptions were broad enough to give the reader an imaginative feel for the setting without an overload of unnecessary details.
